FITZPATRICK CLAIMS MATCH BALL AS CELTIC ROMP TO VICTORY
6th Sep 2014
Raymond Fitzpatrick bagged a hat-trick inside the opening half-an-hour to set Lurgan Celtic on their way to victory over Glebe Rangers.
Fitzpatrick opened the scoring as early as the 11th minute with a well placed header from a Chris Lavery cross.
He made it 2-0 nine minutes later with a chip over 'keeper Brian Kane before completing his hat-trick on 27 minutes when he was quickest to react to a loose ball.
Glebe pulled a goal back on 51 minutes through Peter Kennoway with a deflected effort past Michael Goff.
However Niall Lavery restored Celtic's three-goal advantage with a delicate chip over substitute 'keeper Louis McIlveen with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
The visitors did grab a second two minutes from time courtesy of an Aaron Wilkinson spot-kick.
