GILLAN DOUBLE TOO MUCH FOR PSNI

THE visitors deservedly took the lead in the 40th minute when Mark Dempsey raided down the right and crossed to Gerard Gillan who scored with a crashing header from five yards.

United went further ahead at the beginning of the second half when Anderson scored an own goal as he struggled to clear another fine cross from Dempsey.

Worse was to follow for the home defence as Gillan again tore through the middle to beat the advancing Wilson from ten yards for a third goal.

A three man substitution by Gavin Arthur produced a belated police fight back with Robbie Knox scoring from a corner and Gary Brown beating the excellent Bryn Moore from ten yards to finish the scoring.
