LYNCH AND McAULEY ON TARGET AS SWIFTS WIN AGAIN

Sport & Leisure Swifts maintained their 100% start to their league campaign with victory over Queen's University at The Dub.

The visitors might have taken the lead during the opening exchanges when a Stephen Tully header from Brendan Agnew's cross connected with the crossbar before dropping to safety.

However, it fell to home frontman Conor Mulholland to open the scoring on 36 minutes with a close range finish after getting free of the defence.

Leisure levelled on the hour through Kevin Lynch after he blocked Daniel Hanna's clearance to promptly return the ball past Declan Brown.

The scoring was completed 12 minutes after that when Ryan McAuley squeezed a low shot through the crowded penalty area.

Queen's might have salvaged something from the game right at the end when Stephen McDowell was fouled in the box but Leisure 'keeper Patrick Saunders did well to turn away Daniel Culbert's spot-kick.
