MOYOLA CELEBRATE 135 YEARS WITH DERBY DRAW

Moyola Park entertained near neighbours Tobermore United at Mill Meadow on a day that the Castledawson club celebrated 135 years of football.

Moyola had penalty appeals turned down on 31 minutes when Matthew McGraw appeared to foul Chris Dowie near his goalline.

Five minutes into the second half the visitors took the lead when Hugo Batista played the ball to Trevor Parkhill whose shot was cleared by Mark Waddell but the assistant referee adjudged that the ball had crossed the goalline.

Seven minutes later Moyola Park got back on level terms.

A Robbie Lucas free kick was deflected to Adam Gray who crossed the ball to Dowie. His shot was blocked but the ball fell to Eugene Gallagher who fired it past McGraw into the Tobermore United net to earn his team a point.
