NO GOALS BUT PLENTY OF ENTERTAINMENT AT FORTWILLIAM PARK
21st Feb 2015
Tobermore United entertained Portstewart at a bitterly cold Fortwilliam Park in what, despite the lack of any goals, was a very entertaining game.
With barely three minutes on the clock Joel Madison somehow prevented Tobermore from going ahead when he brought off three tremendous point blank saves in a matter of seconds.
His counterpart, Matthew McGraw, was called into action at the other end of the pitch when a swift counter attack by two ex-Tobermore men, Lee Forgrave and Ryan Doherty, forced the big keeper into making a fine save.
Paul Keane, who was having another great game in the centre of Tobermore's defence burst through from midfield and his shot beat Madison but hit the post and bounced back into the grateful keepers arms.
Portstewart went close to scoring on a couple of occasions near the end but at the final whistle most agreed that draw was a fair result.
