THOMPSON DOUBLE SETS DOLLINGSTOWN ON COURSE TO VICTORY

Dollingstown hit four goals without reply past a youthful Ballymoney United side at Planters Park.

Richard Thompson opened the scoring after 29 minutes when took advantage of a good pass from Adam Walker to jink his way into the box before firing into the net for his first goal of the new season.

Then, three minutes from the break, he embarked on another solo run, having been played through by Jordan Gibson, to double his tally for the afternoon.

The game was put beyond doubt shortly after the hour mark courtesy of a superb Walker finish from the edge of the area after another Gibson through ball.
